Principal’s Message – Mrs. Lisa Langford

We Are Electric!!!

Dear Collier Families,

On behalf of the students at Collier Elementary School, thank you for your generous tax credit donations of $28,500 . The students at Collier will benefit from your contribution both now and in the future.  In times of limited resources, donations such as yours make an incredible difference in what's available to our students.  Our art program encourages students to explore, experiment, create and discover the potential of the creative self.  The goal of our physical education program is to help students enjoy achievements of optimum physical growth and development.  In our music classes, we feature songs, instrumental music development, rhythm, and musical notation.  Our Spanish classes encourages students to learn everyday vocabulary and an appreciation of other cultures.   Each year, we take our children on a variety of field trips that allow them to gain a broader view of the world.  Your generous supports ensures that our students enjoy these opportunities each year.

This year Again, we appreciate your donations and supports.  Without you we could not offer opportunities for students that enhance their social and emotional growth and make them well rounded people.

A BIG WELCOME TO MR. HUETTER

A note from Mrs. Redhouse – Music Teacher

Mrs. Redhouse is looking for used keyboards.  She wants to work with our 3rd grade students on the keyboard.  If you have any, please contact Terry in the office.  Thanks.

WISH LIST FOR PLAYGROUND

We are in need of basketballs, footballs, soccer balls for our playground for before school and during lunch time.  Please bring them to the office so that we can replenish our playground wagon!!!  Thanks.

Drop Off and Pick Up in Parking Lots

Each year I take the opportunity to remind parents to slow down and take your time when you are dropping off or picking up students.  First and foremost we want to keep everyone safe.  To this end we ask that you observe the no parking signs in the turnaround this way parents are not encouraged to make a U-turn when exiting the parking lot.  Secondly, slow down and lastly be respectful of each other.  If we all follow safety measures, every will be safe and we will arrive and leave the school in a time manner.

REPORTING ABSENCES

Please remember to call the school or email Terry at terry.davies@tusd1.org  if your child will be absent. The attendance line can be called 24/7 and left a message if we are not in the building. State law mandates that I continue to call all numbers on your emergency card until we find your child. Please make it easy for us by calling and letting us know! Thanks.
