Monday, February 11 Read Me Day (Students and staff wear T-shirts or buttons with words.) Tuesday, February 12 Sock It To Me with a Good Book (Students and staff wear crazy socks and bring their favorite book..) Wednesday, February 13 Hats Off to Reading (Students and staff wear the hat of their favorite story character.) Thursday, February 14 I Love Reading! (Students wear red or pink for Valentine’s Day AND Love of Reading Week.) Friday, February 15 Snuggle Up with a Good Book (Students and staff wear pajamas to school.) Martes, 12 de febrero Calcetines locos y un buen libro (Los alumnos y maestros usan calcetines locos y traen su libro favorito.) 	Teachers-- Sign up for a Guest Reader! Some awesome readers from the community and our staff have volunteered to read this week. The sign up board is across the hall from the nurse's office. Be sure to note the location of your reader as some will be reading in the library and some will be reading in the classrooms.
Students-- Enter the Young Authors Contest! Do you love to write? Submit ONE piece of your favorite writing to Mrs. Harbour. It can be a narrative, poem, expository article--anything! Ten winners will be chosen to attend the Young Authors Conference on March 6. There you will hear author Deborah Hopkinson speak AND you will receive an autographed copy of one of her books. This contest is open to ALL Cragin students. Deadline for entries is Friday, February 15 at 3:00 p.m

		What is your favorite book? Use the special heart-shaped form to write your name and the name of one of your favorite books. You can even draw a picture about it. Ask your teacher for a form. We also have forms in the library! Turn them in to the library, and we will post them in the cafeteria.
Visit our library! On display this month are special books for Valentine's Day, Rodeo, and African-American History month. Come during Love of Reading Week to get a special valentine from Mrs. Harbour!
