WE HAVE MOVED TO PARADISE!
That is 3950 E. Paradise Falls Rd., which is the new address for our new school building. I am pleased to tell you that we LOVE our NEW school, which we moved into August 2006.
The new Davidson school is the first school in TUSD to be labeled a “Green – Leed” School. To find out what a “Green – Leed” school is, see below. We have solar energy and blue-jean laced insulation. Our school is like a castle nested in the valley for our Dragons-our school mascot! It’s designed to bring us outdoors.
Our 4th and 5th grade students were awarded a $500,000 Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant, and Vice Mayor Carol West contributed another $300,000 to establish a Botanical Garden, a handicapped playground, and a wellness track with exercise stations.
Our community held a New School Ceremony in September 2006 at the new school site. Many former Davidson employees and students attended. School-wide tours were provided by the 4th and 5th grade students.
