Internet Safety and Cyber Bullying:
All  TUSD schools are required to inform students, yearly, of Internet Safety and Cyber Bullying. We are given the agencies and authorities  to contact. At Doolen, we will have a couple presentations to keep all our students as aware and safe as possible.
 - October 5—Grade Level Assemblies
Today’s assembly was facilitated by the  AWARE Program and Sold No More. A theme, or take away, from the assembly is that to be aware is to be protected.

Because our children are so often on internet, Facebook, and other social media sites; they become easy “prey” for a variety of predators. Everyone needs to know/be reminded how easy it is to innocently  give information to “ the wrong”  people, and the consequences of each the victim and the predator. Our middle school students are in the target age group for sex trafficking and child pornography and the effects of cyber-bullying are devastating.
 - Upcoming Programs:
November 9. 10, and 12---- 3 day follow up to today’s assembly. These classroom presentation/discussions will take place through our Science Class.

December 10---- grade level assemblies presented by the Attorney General’s Office

Parents are welcome to attend any of these programs--after first signing in the office and receiving a visitor badge
