o   TUSD has begun to use Synergy!  It is a database system that will replace the Mojave system TUSD has used.  We are all new to Synergy and ask for your patience as we learn how to use it effectively.

o   Parents and students can get a jump start in using this new system – the app is available on both droid and apple phones.  This is an effective tracking tool.

Doolen is asking for donations of the following for the cafeteria:  bread, peanut butter, and grape jelly to prepare courtesy meals for students who are behind on lunch money.  Please bring your donations to the main office - thank you!

Cox ConnectToCompete

Internet Safety and Cyber Bullying:
All  TUSD schools are required to inform students, yearly, of Internet Safety and Cyber Bullying. We are given the agencies and authorities  to contact. At Doolen, we will have a couple presentations to keep all our students as aware and safe as possible.
 - October 5—Grade Level Assemblies
Today’s assembly was facilitated by the  AWARE Program and Sold No More. A theme, or take away, from the assembly is that to be aware is to be protected.

Because our children are so often on internet, Facebook, and other social media sites; they become easy “prey” for a variety of predators. Everyone needs to know/be reminded how easy it is to innocently  give information to “ the wrong”  people, and the consequences of each the victim and the predator. Our middle school students are in the target age group for sex trafficking and child pornography and the effects of cyber-bullying are devastating.
 - Upcoming Programs:
November 9. 10, and 12---- 3 day follow up to today’s assembly. These classroom presentation/discussions will take place through our Science Class.

December 10---- grade level assemblies presented by the Attorney General’s Office

Parents are welcome to attend any of these programs--after first signing in the office and receiving a visitor badge

Congratulations to our own Ms. Cathleen Hall for winning the "Walmart Teacher Surprise"! Today she was honored with a $513 gift certificate to Walmart. The average teacher spends $513 a year out of their own pocket on supplies for their classroom. We are proud of you Ms. Hall! Watch: Livestream event.
