The Erickson staff is
very proud to be a part of the educational process for your children.
In fact, we think we have one of the best schools in the
district! Why?
Here are the top ten reasons we feel that Erickson is a great
school:
10. We have a diverse
population of students and staff that help make our school culture very
rich.
9. Our after school YMCA
program helps to support parents who work
by providing families with a safe, stimulating after school program for
our students until 6:00 each evening.

We value our school community and parents.
Proof positive are our Friday PTA meetings and family Movie
Nights, and our numerous parent representatives on our School Council.
7. Our Intervention Plan
focuses on each child, regardless of their level of performance by
providing reteaching, maintaining and enrichment tutorials four days a
week.
6. We support our English Language Learners
by providing them with reading, speaking and writing support. A
four hour English language development block will be implemented for
primary students and individual English language learning plans will be
in place for kindergarten and intermediate students.
5. We have an amazing Safety Plan in place
for staff and students in case of emergencies.
Safety for all is our #1 priority.
4. Our second, third, fourth, and fifth graders
will be participating in a special math program, sponsored by the Arizona Rodel
Foundation, this year. All grades implement the
Investigations math curriculum which focuses on critical thinking and
developing a deep conceptual knowledge of mathematics.
3. Our students focus on organization,
class work, homework, respecting others and in general, being STAR
Roadrunners, as stated in our Roadrunner Pledge.
2. We have an amazing staff who has a
laser-like focus on academics. By preparing students to be
contributing members of our global society.
Our school is "Performing” status according to
the Arizona Learns school ratings.
