Meal Applications due Sept. 24 – This marks the first year that our school receives additional federal funds by the name of Title 1 Funds.  These federal funds are targeted to school that have a large amount of students who qualify for free and/or reduced meals.  We have at least 76% of our students who qualify.  It is very important that each year our families submit their meals application forms in order for our school to receive Title 1 funds.  Please speak with our Food Service Manager, Mrs. Maria Siqueiros, or her assistant, Isabel Ayon, if you have any questions about the meals application.

October 8 is International Walk/Bicycle to School Day – You are invited to volunteer on this date and join us with the Tucson Police Department to promote safely walking or bicycling to school.  Attached is the guideline for our school regarding traffic and parking lots.  On Thursday, September 25, 2:30-3:00 p.m., officers from the Tucson Police Department will meet in the library to help parents, grandparents, and community members organize the event.  Please consider volunteering as a service to our children!

PTA, Fry’s Cool Cash Rewards & Food City Receipts – Our school receives a donation each time you use your Fry’s VIP card.  Just telephone this toll free number

(1-623-907-4965) and ask them to add Grijalva’s reward number (10517).  Once you register, we automatically get donations each time you use your Fry’s VIP card.  Save your Food City receipts and send to Room 3.  We collect these for great school items!
