Students dismissed at 11:15 a.m. for Parent & Teacher Conferences

Parents and teachers will have individual conferences about the students’ progress.

Please make careful plans for these three dates so that students can be picked up early.

KIDCO will provide services for those already in KIDCO.

A New Kindergarten Class – We are pleased that we will open a sixth kindergarten class starting tomorrow in room 2. The teacher is Mrs. Cisneros who was a kindergarten teacher at Grijalva last year.  With this class, four of are kinder classes will have about 21 students each instead of 29.  This year, TUSD projected 24 students per kinder class.

Meal Applications due Sept. 30 – This marks the first year that our school receives additional federal funds by the name of Title 1 Funds.  These federal funds are targeted to school that have a large amount of students who qualify for free and/or reduced meals.  We have at least 76% of our students who qualify.  It is very important that each year our families submit their meals application forms in order for our school to receive Title 1 funds.  Please speak with our Food Service Manager, Mrs. Maria Siqueiros, if you have any questions about the meals application.

Registered Nurse – One of our new staff members is Jasmine Gabb.  She is a registered nurse who works three days a week with our Health Clerk, Mrs. Isabel Moreno.  She speaks English and Spanish.  We are delighted to welcome her!
