PRICIPAL’S

VISION STATEMENT:

To ensure that all students acquire high levels of         academic achievement through a sound leadership that remains focused on    quality education, equity and a caring environment.

Principal’s Corner:

As we approach the close of another school year, I am sure many of you are      making plans for your family’s summer activities.  You may be planning your vacation, signing up for swimming lessons, or looking forward to ball games.  As you make these plans, I hope you will consider the importance of encouraging your son or daughter in their reading habits.  Reading is vital to the success of your child in school.  Studies show that children need to read at least 20-30 minutes each day to maintain their current reading level.  As we break for summer vacation, your child’s skills will be at their best.  With your help, they will return next August at the same level or maybe even higher.

I would like to congratulate each and every one of our Maldonado Mountain Lion  students on a fantastic year.  You have worked hard and gained valuable knowledge that will benefit you for the rest of your life.  Best wishes go out to all the fifth grade students as they make their transition to middle school. I would also like to thank each of our Maldonado     Mountain Lion staff members for your commitment and dedication to our students.  Finally, I would like to thank each parent for your support and commitment to the education of your child.  I wish all of you a great rest of the school year and an  enjoyable and restful summer break.  I look forward to seeing you next school year!

Educationally,

Mary Mercado
