Dear Parents/ Guardians,
     I am Elba Cardona, the school counselor at the Maldonado School.  I will be working with parents and students in ways through a program of many services. These services are aimed to help children to develop their highest potential. Some of the services in the School Counseling Program will be: 

v     Group Counseling: To help children with issues such as: Friendship, Bullies, Anger management, Violence prevention, Death, Divorce, Acculturation and transition (when coming from another country or state).

 v     Individual sessions: To help children to adjust to school and get ready to learn.

  v     Classroom lessons: To help children to learn how to get along with others and       that way can be create a safe environment wide around the school.

  v     Groups for parents: To share and learn ways to communicate with their children.

  v     Conferences with parents: To learn about their children’s progress in school.
