Project ABLE enrolls children three to five years old who qualify for special education services. We support children's developing strengths and focus strongly on language development, fine and gross motor skills, self-help, social interactions, and, of course, problem solving.
As part of a school inspired by the Reggio approach to education, all children will have a rich experience in a diverse environment and with a wide variety of materials. Your child will have the opportunity to be included in experiences with other preschool children in programs at Ochoa.
The ABLE Program has both a morning and an afternoon session, with Wednesdays reserved for planning, home visits, IEP meetings and professional development. A typical day includes a community meeting time, projects that support learning and developing healthy relationships, outside play and a family-style meal. We depend on our strong relationship with families and invite you into the classroom and school community.
