Introduction

Have you ever thought to yourself, "Boy, if I were a teacher, I would sure do things differently."

Well, if I know students, and I think I do, EVERYONE has had that thought pass through their mind at some point. If so, then this project is for YOU!!

Welcome to the 21st Century!! Consider yourself part of the 'new' generation of learners, where you will 'construct' your own knowledge by teaching other students. Throw away that old textbook, burn those tired worksheets because now YOU will teach!! Embrace technology -create multimedia presentations including  Slide shows, Power Point presentations, video recordings, computer graphics and any other 21st Century technological ideas you can utilize.

Each group will be assigned one part of an overall subject to teach the rest of the students. Your group will also be required to design, administer and grade a test based on your presentation (PS: You will have to ALSO take your OWN group's test).

Your group will have both class periods (90 minutes) to present your decade

Total time

· 40-50 minute presentation

· 20 minute test

· 10 minute evaluation and analysis

Your team will divide and conquer this responsibility!!

Conclusion

You have just completed an incredible amount of work in a short amount of time.....phew!! Looking back, you should feel a real sense of accomplishment for your final lesson.

bulletImagine if you had to produce a lesson for every day - like a TEACHER :) I must say, it is much easier than what you just experienced. As you develop skillls for this type of activity, you become more proficient in creating this type of presentation.
bulletIf you are considering entering the teaching field, this was a valuable lesson. You learned how to organize and present an body of information and hopefully teach a group of students.
bulletIf you are considering working in 'corporate America,' you will also be using these skills again. Just be thankful you have a 'jump start' on those who have not done this type of assignment!!
