Subtopic breakdown 
for analyzing cases

  1. Main Facts:  Who was involved, what were their complaints, and defenses.  Who, what, when, where, how.
  2. Amendment: What amendment was involved? If a particular clause was involved which one was it?
        This person should give very brief over of the amendment, and or clause involved.
  3. Arguments for the Plaintiff (petitioner) ( the person who brought the action about) a.k.a.: complainant, claimant 
    Case names are usually listed with the plaintiff being listed first. Plaintiff v. Respondent
  4. Arguments for the defendant (respondent) the person trying to not have anything happen.
  5. Results: What was the outcome. NOT just who did the court find in favor of, but what impact did it have in society, or in the lower courts.
