Each person in the group will be responsible for a job. Once you are assigned to a decade group, the group will mutually decide on an Assignment Manager. If you are selected, the following are your responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing, with the approval of the group leader and together with other members of the group, the topic and substance of the role play.
• Monitors reporters progress with each objective by helping them complete their portion of the project
• Posts daily reports on the progress of his/her role play in the progress blogs or as instructed by the teacher.
• Moderates and Narrates the role play by providing transitions between reporters and tells the audience when they are switching categories
• Time keeper during the Role Play

Role play Parameters

• Topic of the role play should communicate one or all of the following:  

1. The circumstances that brought the case about; or   "Why the complaint started"

2. The critical debate elements of the case; or   " What were the main arguments between the parties or between the Judges.

3. A demonstration of the effects of the case.  "What changes in social or legal behavior occurred as result of the case... kind of a before and after!"

• All members of the team must participate in some meaningful dialogue in the role play. 

• The dialogue between characters should be very simple and easy to remember so that they don't have to use cue cards, or even exact wording.

• The Role play must be a minimum of 5 minutes, and not longer than 8 minutes.

• No props are allowed. only the furniture in the classroom.

• Narrator should provide an introduction, transitions. and debriefing of the role play.

• How did you feel about the role play and each of the various roles?
• Was the role play realistic? How was it similar to or different from real life? Was the problem solved? If so, how? If not, why not?
• What, if anything, could have been done differently? What other outcomes were possible?
• What did you learn from the experience?
