This is my 40th year teaching in TUSD. I started as a classroom teacher for 17 years, teaching Grades 2 – 6 at a number of TUSD schools.
In 1989, after receiving my Music Endorsement from the State of Arizona, I began teaching Music at Carrillo.
With the forming of the OMA program, I was one of the first two teachers to pilot the program.
I have since retired and continue to work for the OMA program on a part-time basis.
I got my teaching degree and Music Endorsement from the University of Arizona. I grew up in Tucson and attended TUSD schools.
I have taught many teacher workshops during the last twenty years, and have also been the coordinator of the OMA Honor Choir, District Coordinator of Dance in Education, District Coordinator of All-City Dance Festival, as well as creating Elementary Dance curriculum for the district. I have been a choral director at my schools since 1975.
I am a professional flute player and I give private lessons in piano, guitar, and flute. I also play in a rock band for fun. I live with three wonderful cats and love to hike and garden and travel.
