Dear Robison Parents, Students and Community Members,
This year means a lot to the legacy of Robison Magnet Elementary. The school is making big leaps in many areas socially and academically. Our PYP plans are falling into place and continue to improve each time we look at them. The PBIS program has had a noticable impact on Robison's environment and climate. And instruction at every level continues to improve as teachers take advantage of the opportunities to reflect and adjust.
By the end of 2012 we will be the only fully accredited International Baccalaureate school in southern Arizona. Our population will be steady at around 360 students and we will be out of school improvement. Everything is looking upward for us as a learning-community.
When I became principal 8 and half years ago I could not have envisioned the school in a better place than we are now. The transformation of Robison is not complete and never will be, because schools are dynamic entities that change to meet the needs of the students they serve. However, the efforts that each staff member, parent and student is putting forth impels our mission onward to produce students who are globally-minded inquirers and problem solvers.
It is also true that our efforts are having a notable influence on Robison's image in the community. I have heard from several sources that the word is extremely postive about the changes happening here so be proud and make 2012 the best year yet.
Sincerely,
Robert Pitts
Principal of Robison Magnet Elementary
