Welcome to Safford Elementary School and Safford K-8 Magnet. Our school can be found in the heart of Tucson just across from the Children’s Museum, which formerly housed Tucson’s main library.  As you read through our website you will find interesting facts and a rich history that come with our unique, historic school.  

Safford is an international baccalaureate candidate school made up of a caring staff, students, parents and community members who believe that community, collaboration, and consistency are the key to providing a solid education for children.  Lots of great happenings and activities can be found here.  Stop by and see for yourself! 

 

I have worked many years as an educator and have enjoyed every moment.  I am a TUSD graduate of Cholla High School.  I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona and my Master’s Degree and Administration certification from Northern Arizona University.  My certification, studies, and endorsements are in the areas of bilingual education, English as a Second Language, middle school education, and gifted education.
