My name is Sonya Rashad and this is my website. This is my 19th year teaching and my 14th teaching at Safford Middle School. I am the girls Physical Education teacher and basketball and volleyball coach. We have enjoyed many successful seasons at Safford. I have been blessed to be given the opportunity to work with the students here.

     I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and 2 dogs. I am the youngest of seven siblings. (Two sisters and five brothers). 

    In 1988, I graduated from Ottawa University (Ottawa, Kansas) with a B.A. in Elementary Education. In 1998 I received a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. 

    In my spare time. I enjoy exercising, playing and watching basketball. My favorite team will always be the Safford Huskies!
