My name is Mrs.
Trahan and I am the digital photography teacher for 6th
grade.I absolutely love
teaching photography and pushing my students to become amazing and
creative photographers.I
received my Bachelors degree from the University
of
Arizona in Photography and Art History and I bring in skills from my college
classes into the 6th grade classroom.During the year, we do a wide range of photo assignments as well
as learn to edit our images using laptop computers and Adobe Photoshop.Some of the assignments we do are macro studies which are close
ups of objects, an emulation project of David Hockney’s montages,
different kinds of portraits, different viewpoints and many others! My
past students have been published in TUSD’s Focus magazine and won
many honorable mentions in high school photo contests. Outside
of school, I love to take pictures of people and make up narratives to
photograph, I also love reading, painting and scrapbooking!I think Safford is an awesome middle school and I love seeing the
creative minds of the students that go here!
