Mrs. Dillon
By Breana Sikora
When you think of the library do you think of boring old books? Or do you think of adventure and knowledge? According to Mrs. Dillon, the librarian, the library is a wonderful place to hang out at.
Mrs. Dillon was born in Waterloo, Iowa. She grew up in Southern California, and then moved to Vermont. Mrs. Dillon then moved to Arizona to get her masters degree at the University of Arizona.
Dillon has been working at the library for four years. Before coming to Sahuaro she worked at an elementary, middle, and high school . She has two kids that have graduated from Sahuaro.
She decided to be a librarian because, "whenever I would walk into a book store or library I'd get this feeling of excitement. I could investigate anything I was curious about," said Dillon.
During her free time Mrs. Dillon loves to read. One of her most recent readings was 1,000 Splendid Suns , which is about living life in Afghanistan. She recommends it highly . Also during her free time, Mrs. Dillon loves to go hiking and bicycling with her husband Mr. Dillon. So come by the library, find a great read, and say hello to Mrs. Dillon!
