Dear Tully Parents/Guardians: (La
copia en Español va estar lista en el futuro.
Si tienen preguntas, por favor de llamar a Sra Li Schmidt 490-3189.
¡Gracias!)
On the back are the basics about the second annual Tully Science Fair.
Projects must be submitted to the library by 9am, Monday, February 27,
2012. Judging will occur that day
from 10am to noon. That evening
there will be an Open House with some light refreshments for all students and
parents to show the projects. There
will be a short awards ceremony to recognize participation and announce what
projects will be moving on to the Southern Arizona Regional Science and
Engineering Fair (SARSEF). See
www.sarsef.org for detail.
Participation by all classes at all grade levels is strongly encouraged.
A group of Tully parents is available for assistance; contact info is
below.
Please encourage and help your child go through this fun process.
Feel free to pass along our contact information to other Tully families
who have questions.
SARSEF requires special approval BEFORE you start if your project involves
animals, people, tissues, bacteria, fungi, chemicals, or DNA (organisms or
potentially harmful materials). Contact Li Schmidt [lischmidt0@gmail.com with
subject line: Tully, 520-490-3189] for approval request forms.
Put your child’s name/Tully on the back of the poster board.
NO STUDENT OR TEACHER NAMES can go on the front of the board.
Also be careful that any photos that you take should not focus on kids’
faces. Take them so that the photo shows what they are doing, not who is doing
it.
Help sessions will be held in the Tully Library:
Wednesday, January 25, 2012 – 11am to 1pm
Friday, January 27, 2012 – 11 am to 1pm
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Projects Due by 9am in the Tully Library
