My role as a
program coordinator here at Tully Elementary, is to build teacher
capacity, implement effective instructional practices, to improve
student learning and performance, implement extra-curricular activities
for students, and support implementation of site and district
initiatives.
This includes:
Establish a
collaborative environment.
Review and
assist teachers in planning and implementation of lesson plans.
Close the
gap between pre-schools and elementary schools.
Hold a
strong partnership with the University of Arizona and Pima Community
College to house practicum students and student teachers.
Support
implementation of curriculum calendars and common assessments from
the district and state. For example AIMS, AZELLA, & Benchmark
Testing.
Plan and
implement Professional Staff Development activities at the site,
based upon needs and our School Wide Plan.
Provide on
site mentoring.
Continue to
facilitate site Professional Learning Communities and promote our
Magnet focus to our extended community.
Promote
learning for all professional growth activities such as Highly
Qualified Teachers and Para Professionals.
Ensure that
we are in 100% compliance according to A.D.E. (Arizona Department of
Education), OCR (Office of Civil Rights), and L.A.D. (Language
Acquisition Department).
Create a
challenge that is goal driven, data focused, and thought provoking.
Facilitate
Professional Vision: High expectations for self, staff, parents, and
students. Life long learning and Professional Identity.
