All applicants are strongly encouraged to review our Admissions Policy to fully understand University High School admissions. To be considered for admission, please fill out an application form and return it to TUSD's Accountability & Research Department by the application deadline (admissions is not managed directly by University High School).
2012-2013 Freshman Admissions
Freshman admissions for the 2012-2013 school year is closed. Applications for freshman admissions for 2013-2014 will open in August 2012. Please note that freshman admissions process takes place in the Fall Semester. Waiting until Spring will be too late.
Sophomore, Junior, Senior Admissions for 2012-13
Application forms for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior admissions for 2012-2013 is now available (hyperlink). Decisions will be made in July. Incoming Sophomores only – If you need to take the entrance test, testing will be held on June 6th at 9:00 (8:30 am check-in) in the UHS cafeteria.
The admissions policy for Juniors and Seniors will be under review by the Site Council but please review our current Admissions Policy to understand what the admissions criteria is. The admissions criteria is set at a high level because of the demanding curriculum taken by UHS students in 9th and 10th grades. Students applying as Juniors and Seniors must have taken rigorous and challenging academic classes with high grades and successfully passed the AIMS in all subjects.
