Student Library Aides:
Students are selectively chosen as library aides.  This is an elective class; entrance requirements include a love of reading, A's and B's in core classes, and a willingness to help students with their education needs.  Duties include checking in/out books, shelving, cleaning, and helping fellow students as well as staff, and making the Alice Vail Library a fun and educational place to be.

Checkout/Checkin Procedures:
It is a privilege to check out materials from the Alice Vail Library.  Students are responsible for any items checked out to them.  Students may check out three books at a time.  Books are due in two weeks, but students may renew or exchange them at any time during the two weeks.

Computer Use:
Using a computer is a privilege at Alice Vail Middle School.  Computers are for educational purposes only and printing requires permission from the library staff.  Any student who violates the Computer Acceptable use policy in the library, computer lab, or classroom will lose computer privileges for the rest of the school year and face disciplinary action.
