What Van Horne Has To Offer: |
International Literature
Collection
We have assembled an extensive collection of children's
literature written in and about other parts of the world to support our
international studies and work done in our
Learning Lab. To date we have gathered approximately 1500 titles. |
Teachers
Through careful recruitment and collaborative professional
study, we have assembled an exceptional group of experienced and effective
educators with a deep passion for global education and exceptional
dedication to students and their learning. We work together with Dr.
Kathy Short from the University of Arizona to develop curriculum that
supports students in thinking critically, conceptually, culturally and
creatively about their world |
Upcoming Opportunities |
| We plan to bring in math and
science consultants to expand the weaving of international perspectives
across the curriculum. We are currently studying inquiry approaches to
curriculum as a perspective that would cut across all of the subject areas.
We have identified possible consultants to work with us on global inquiry in
math and science. |
Come to Van Horne
and we will show you the world!
