SPORTS REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Everything you need to know about registering for Catalina athletics is here, in our Sports Cover Letter. You can also download most of the forms that you need to register:

  • Students are urged to take care of all of the important paperwork BEFORE practices begin -- students who are not cleared may not practice or play.

Please see Athletic Director Ken Harcus, 232-8522, or Staff Assistant Cindy Dunn, 232-8407, both in the Activities Office, if you have any questions.

Through generous contributions from the Catalina High School Foundation, Catalina's Site Council, and tax-credit donations from community members, we are able to offer financial assistance to student athletes. Financial concerns should never keep a qualified Catalina athlete from participating! Please see Mr. Harcus if we can help with participation and sports physical fees.

Catalina Magnet High School is a proud member of the Arizona Interscholastics Association, and our coaches and players meet and exceed all the state expectations for safety, eligibility, and sportsmanlike conduct. The AIA's motto of "Victory With Honor" is one that we share at Catalina.

District-level oversight for all TUSD athletic programs is provided by Interscholastics Director Herman House and the TUSD Interscholastics Office. This office is located on the Catalina campus. For questions about district-level athletics, please see the TUSD Interscholastics Office Website.

Our Trojans love it when you come out and cheer for them! Please come out and support your teams!

    Catalina Trojan Booster Club

The Catalina Trojan Booster Club was created to provide support to our student athletes, athletic teams, coaches, trainer and staff members. Historically, the funds raised by the club have been used to cover such expenses as sending our student athletes and coaches to camps and clinics, CPR, and First Aid Training classes.  In addition, we have purchased athletic equipment for the teams and a heart defibrillator for use on campus for the school's trainer.  The Booster Club offers scholarships, Trojan Awards of $500.00 each, for a senior male and female athlete each year.

The Snack Bar is our main source of fund raising.  Parents volunteer their time to open and run the Snack Bar after school and during numerous athletic events held at Catalina. We also sell Spirit Wear and Spirit Items throughout the year.   Any parent can join the Booster Club.  There are no dues to pay. The club meets in the Gym Lobby on the first Monday of the month at 6:00 pm.
