I was born in
Tucson.I have an older brother and a
younger sister.When I was about 4
my family moved to
Phoenix.At age 5, we moved to
Pekin,
Illinois
to be closer to my grandmother.When
I was in the fourth grade, we moved back to
Arizona, this time to Sedona.I hiked, swam
and rode horses all over red rock country.I
even belonged to the swim team in sixth grade!In seventh grade, we moved back to
Phoenix.I lived there until 1994.
I graduated
from
Arizona
State
University
with my Bachelor’s of Education in 1994.After graduation, I moved to Tucson and took graduate courses at
University of Arizona.I began my
teaching career in TUSD during the 1995-1996 school year.In 2003 I earned my Master’s in Educational Leadership from
Northern
Arizona
University.I am currently working on my
certification for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
My hobbies
include reading, hiking/camping, and learning as much as I can about everything!
In my spare moments, I love to
play with my two Boxer dogs Sadie and Mina, watch movies and relax with my
husband.
