Dress Code Reminder
Students are expected to come to school “dressed for work” and ready to
learn. With that
in mind, the following tips should assist in transitioning
from casual summer wear to appropriate school clothing:
-
Tank tops, (muscle shirts for boys) spaghetti straps,
revealing necklines, halters, strapless, sheer or any
other similar type of shirt are
not
permitted.
Great for the beach or gym but not for Gridley.
-
Clothing should cover the torso at all times.
Pants should be worn on the waist or hips.
No sagging.
Undergarments should
not
be visible.
Pajamas and slippers are only allowed on spirit days.
Pants with tears/rips that are too revealing are
not appropriate.
-
Shorts and skirts should be longer than your middle
finger when arms are extended at your sides. No short
shorts or skirts, even with leggings underneath.
-
Clothing, accessories, or head gear which identify with
illegal organizations, portray racial statements,
contain profane or suggestive
language, advertise or advocate the use of tobacco,
alcohol or illegal substances/activities are also
not
permitted. Please
avoid shirts with suggestive humor, innuendos or
inappropriate graphics.
-
Sunglasses and hats are only worn outdoors, and bandanas
of any color are not allowed at any time – on boys or
girls.
-
School IDs are worn every day, everywhere on campus.
The Gridley School Dress Code is in effect before, during
and after school hours while on campus or at ANY school
sponsored event on or off campus. It does not end when the
school bell rings.
Thank you for your patience and support of our dress code. (WHEW!! )
