Each year, every California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) restaurant may choose one classroom to which it donates $250 worth of Staples classroom supplies. This year, Marian Dawley’s second grade classroom from Fruchthendler Elementary School was chosen for this honor which was facilitated by room parent Alley Powell. Alley’s a member of “Team in Training” which raises money to find “The Cure” and together with CPK has held many successful fundraising events.

The class made pizza box book reports which are on display in the Tucson restaurant. They’re also making flower bouquets out of soup cups and pizza boxes for display in the near future.

On Friday, March 2^nd, the class received a surprise visit from CPK. The supplies were delivered and a pizza luncheon was enjoyed by all!
