Hohokam now uses the RTP Policy

RTP = Responsible Thinking Process

This is a successful method to redirect off-task student behavior
and it is already making a noticeable difference at Hohokam.

Step 1. Teacher attempts to redirect all initial behaviors.
If the off-task behavior continues...

Step 2. RTP questioning process is started, the student gets
a second chance to direct his/her behavior and
stay in class where learning occurs.
If the student continues to be uncooperative...

Step 3. Parents are contacted. RTP referral written.
Student is sent to RTC (Responsible Thinking Center).
Once at the center, the student is to write a behavior contract which the student will need to rejoin his/her class.
Teacher decides if contract is acceptable and if
student is allowed to rejoin classmates in learning.
