Creating a Brochure from a Blank Publication -Directions

            1. Open Publisher (Start, Programs, MS Publisher 2003).

            2. Select the option for Blank Publications.

            3. Set the document orientation to Landscape (use File, Page Setup).

            4. Set the margins to .5” and columns to 3 (go to menu bar, these are under the Arrange tab, pull down to

                Layout guides: margin and grid guides).

            5. Add a second page to the publication (using Insert, Page).

            6. Insert text boxes and picture frames to add text and graphics to your brochure.

                WARNING: Publisher 2003 documents will not convert to older version such as Publisher 2000  

            7.  Save twice.  File Save, the first time.  The second time File, Save As. Use the pull down at the bottom

                 and change it to Publisher 2000.
