Do you know who the 28th president of the United Sates was? Do you know when the person was born or when the person died? Do you know how many years he was president of the United States? Well if you dont know none of these questions, then this report is for you. Thomas Woodrow Wilson was born in Staunton, Virginia, on December 28th or 29th, 1856. Woodrow always gave December 28th as his birthday, but the Wilson family Bible indicates that he was born at 12:45am on December 29th. Wilson ancestry was Scottish and Scotch-Irish. Woodrows mothers name was Janet Woodrow, she was the daughter of a Presbyterian minister. Woodrows fathers name was Joseph R. Wilson, was also a Presbyterian minister. Before Thomas Woodrow Wilson was born his father became minister of a church in Staunton. Woodrow Wilson had two older sisters, their names were Annie and Marion, he also had a younger brother, his name was Joseph, Jr. When Thomas Woodrow Wilson was three years old his family moved to Augusta, Georgia. When Thomas Woodrow Wilson was a little bit older he went to a private school because in Augusta were he lived there wasnt no public schools because of the Civil War, thats why he was going to a private school. He was learning English grammar, Latin, and Greek to qualify for admission, in 1873, to go to Davidson College in North Carolina. Like his father, young Wilson had great admiration for English letters and history. Wilson was also tough at home. Wilson attended Davidson College in the year 1873, a small school in North Carolina. Wilsons father was a trustee at that College. While Wilson was going to Davidson College he enrolled at the College of New Jersey. Woodrow worked less hard at achieving high grades that at deciding upon a career. Woodrow Wilson was seriously interested in English literature and read established authors. Wilson also interested in politics. He studied classic British orators as Edmund Burke and the techniques of public speech. Wilson was encouraged by the excellent reception of his essay and decided to become a lawyer and enter politics. Wilsons dream was to enter the national politics. After Wilson finished College he got engaged to Ellen Axson, and in 1885 Wilson and Ellen got married. Later in the 1900s Wilson entered himself in the politics. The election started in 1912. Wilson won only 41.85 percent of the popular vote, but polled 435 electoral votes, compared with Roosevelts 88 and Tafts 8. Thomas Woodrow Wilson was elected the 28th president of the United Sates in the year 1913. As president, Wilson retained some of his old associates and abandoned others. As president he had created no organization to carry on his program and had developed no associates to sustain his cause. After Wilson left the White House on March 4, 1921, Wilson retired to his home in Washington. Thomas Woodrow Wilson never doubted that God would cause the people to understand and share his vision for a world united for peace and progress. Woodrow Wilson died on February 3, 1924, and was buried in National Cathedral in Washington D.C. I hope the people how read my report about Thomas Woodrow Wilson liked it.
