Sewell Elementary is without a librarian. Our
library could use someone to help take care of it. If you would like
to volunteer please call 584-7200. We need people to help shelve
books, straighten up shelves, and do general library housekeeping.
Any help would greatly be appreciated by students and teachers. _________________________________________________________

Remember that when you look
for information on the Internet, the information might not be totally
up-to-date. It might not be
as accurate as the information you get from encyclopedias and books from
good publishers (where lots of people check the information before the
book goes into print). Remember
also that free information is often paid for with advertisements – but
that doesn’t mean you have to buy the stuff!

OPAC
Search the Sewell Library Computer Catalog
You can search the Sewell
book catalog (OPAC) from any computer in TUSD.
Next year we are told that there will be some changes and then you
will be able to search our catalog from your computer at home (or any
computer in the world, for that matter!)
Here’s How to Get
Information from the Catalog
Log on from a TUSD computer
Click on Internet
Zap the address field and
type in these nine letters
Sewelllib
The welcome page of our
catalog should come on your screen
Type in your search term
Click on Author, Subject,
Title, Series – whatever is appropriate
Hints:
Type the author’s last name first
Don’t
type “The” or “A” if that is the first word of the title.
Computer
lists are alphabetical, so the first word is often enough by itself.
