Miss Klein’s Dos and Don’ts:

Welcome to Pre-Algebra! I hope to have a FUN, EDUCATIONAL and EXCITING year. But to do this we need to set some ground rules.

Expectations:

1.) Be RESPECTFUL to all others in the room. (Yes that includes me the teacher, your peers, others property and most of all yourself.)

2.) Be COURTEOUS- If I or one of your peers is talking your not.

3.) Be RESPONSIBLE –you are in charge of your grade and your actions in this class.

4.) Be PREPARED – make sure you bring everything you need to class. Positive Attitude, Paper, pencil, homework, etc…

5.) Be in your seats when the bell rings. By then you should have any materials, pencil sharpened and working on the bell work.

6.) Be HONEST!!!!

7.) Do your Personal Best!

Other management issues:

Homework:  Homework will be posted everyday at edweb.tusd.k12.az.us/sklein.  There is no excuse for homework not to be done.

Bathrooms: Bathroom passes need to be used wisely. Anytime I am not talking or teaching you may either raise your hand or bring me a completed pass for me to sign.. You may not ask to go the bathroom in the first or last 10 minutes of class, unless it is a complete emergency. You may only leave my class at most 2 times per week and only have 4 minutes out of the classroom. You must sign the restroom log and take the timer.

Grouping and Seating: I am in charge of assigning seats and groups in the classroom.

Organization: You will be responsible for keeping a separate 3 ring binder for a math notebook. We will go over how your notebook must be kept for this class.

Cell Phones: You are allowed to have cell phones here in school as long as they are turned on silent. However, they are only allowed to be used before and after school. The first time I see it out in my room I give you your one and only one warning.. The second time will take the battery till the end of the day. The third time I will give it to the office.  If your phone goes to the office your parents will have to pick it up for you.

Game systems and music players:  School rules state that you are not allowed to have these out in a classroom at anytime during the school day.  Naylor is not responsible for any lost or stolen game systems or music players.

Gum: Gum Chewing is not allowed, Period end of conversation!

Grading:  23% Homework and Class work

                  2% Notebook

                  75% Tests and Quizzes
