Career “SnapShot” Presentations

Student Expedition Program -  Visit the beautiful state of Alaska and experience a true outdoor adventure.  September 14, 2009 - 8:00am - 8:45am V121 - This is a  3-week leadership program in Alaska - totally free if selected.  Student will Kayak, participate in  team building activities, and learn to better prepared for the challenges ahead in life and college.  Interested students should be college bound and qualify for free or reduced lunch.

Pima Community College - Music Industry Certificate Program -  March 10, 2008 - 8:15am - V121.  Dr. Mark Nelson will be at THMS to discuss the programs that PCC offers in the music industry area.  Selected students will then be eligible for a tour of the facilities and studios later in March.  Career Exploration Fieldtrip scheduled for April 18th.

Tucson Electric Power Returns for another presentation - "Building For Success Program"  - March 3, 2008 - 8:15am  - V121.  Great opportunity for seniors who want to apply for the scholarship and become an apprentice with TEP. - Career Exploration Day Fieldtrip scheduled for March 28th.

Union Pacific Railroad - Returns for another presentation -  February 14, 2008 - 3rd period in T186.  Must sign up with Ms. Wilsey for an individual pass.

Southwest Conservation Corp -   February 11, 2008 - 8:15am - V121 - Students 16 years old and up can be hired for work which helps maintain our public lands.  SCC is a non-profit employment, job training and education organization with locations in Durango and Alamosa, Colorado, and Tucson, Arizona.
