So...You Want To Be a Drug Dealer? By: Joyceline Miranda A career in pharmaceuticals could prove to be a promising career. A pharmacist is a person who distributes medications to patients. Pharmacists do many of the same things every day. They… · Dispense drugs prescribed by doctors and health care workers. · Tell patients about how much to take, when to take it, and side effects. · Talk to people about which drugs sold without a prescription might be right for them. · Use the computer to keep records of the drugs patients are taking and of the drugs in stock. · Talk to medical staff about which drug to choose and what it will do. · Look at records to see what drugs are used most and if any are used too much. · Make sure controlled substances are kept secure. · Train pharmacy students who work as interns.
If you are still interested in becoming a pharmacist, you will need to earn a professional degree. This takes up to eight years of study after high school. In Arizona Pharmacists earn $ 53.50 an hour or about $111,290 a year! |
